Nurtur House Sheffield
Nurtur House is a high quality Student Residence in my original home town Sheffield. Referencing the surrounding countryside we created a calm mood with colours and shapes from nature and kept a feeling of openness and space within the scheme. Including bespoke detailing such as hand drawn screen printed panels referencing the famous landmarks of the city, a bespoke plywood map highlighting the nature and river systems that run through the landscape and mixing a tiny touch of the industrial with timber in the counter & cladding create a sense of place. We designed a comforting Home Room for get togethers and group dinners to encourage social connections. The Calm Room caters for yoga and mindful exercise, the well being & study rooms bring touches of the natural world in through their finishes and the scheme includes a beautifully calm garden and roof terrace.
Nurtur Student Living have worked with Judy at Form Interiors on both of our student schemes from doing the initial interior design to redesigning and refurbishing older areas that required a new purpose. On all occasions Judy has excellent ideas, a great creative flair and a wonderful way of listening to what we wanted and translating it into some unique spaces. Always a pleasure to work with, her excellence means she has become a natural part of our extended team who are pushing the boundaries on what the future of student accommodation should look and feel like.
